Independent Contractor Terms and Conditions

This Independent Contractor Agreement (the "Agreement") is made and entered into by and between Annapurna Insurance Solutions ("Company") and the individual applying to be an independent insurance agent ("Agent").
1. Services
Agent agrees to provide insurance sales and related services to clients as an independent contractor. Agent shall be responsible for sourcing leads, presenting insurance products, assisting clients with applications, and providing ongoing client service.
2. Independent Contractor Status
It is expressly understood that Agent is an independent contractor and not an employee, partner, or joint venturer of Company. Agent is not eligible for any employee benefits. Agent is solely responsible for all taxes, including self-employment taxes, arising from compensation paid under this Agreement.
3. Compensation
Company will pay Agent commissions based on insurance policies sold and placed by Agent, as per the commission schedule provided separately and subject to change by Company with reasonable notice. Specific commission rates (e.g., "up to 90% commissions") are detailed in the agent onboarding materials and carrier agreements.
4. Licensing and E&O Insurance
Agent must maintain all required state licenses to sell insurance products offered through Company. Agent must also maintain current Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance coverage at their own expense and provide proof of coverage to Company.
5. Access to Tools and Platforms
Company will provide Agent with access to certain tools and platforms, including but not limited to BackNine contracts and the Company's tech-powered agent dashboard, to facilitate Agent's services. Use of these tools is subject to their respective terms and Company policies.
6. Confidentiality
Agent agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all Company and client information.
7. Term and Termination
This Agreement may be terminated by either party with written notice.
8. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of [Your State/Jurisdiction].
